Pretty much any big company will appreciate you not complaining about hometime, when I first started I stayed out and the dispatcher loved me!!,

I know Ergon wants drivers out min 3 weeks. Time wants two but many stay out 4, as the money is better that way

Got my start in the industry 25 years ago with Schneider National Bulk Carriers (it’s basically Schneider’s tanker division). Almost never requested time off in the 15 months I was there. They had a good layover policy back then: any time you sat 20 hours—even if you just arrived at a delivery 20 hours early—they paid you something like $100 and put you up in a motel.

Leviathan Tube and dwells40 Thank this.

You are in NASCAR home town. You could be a Nascar hauler if you have some mechanics experience.

They have a refinery in Vicksburg, Ms and you see a lot of their trucks on I20 in Ms and Louisiana. Also down in the Houston and Lake Charles areas .Seem to have decent equipment.

Hazmat Environmental Group loves ppl that dont have a home to go to.

Heniff/Superior carriers will keep you out if you tell them

Robbie D. Wood tanker division absolutely loves a person that will keep the truck running. And they pay layover pay for 34hr restarts. It was $75 the 1st week and $100each week after. Not sure if they are still doing that.

Wynne is another that will keep you out forever, they had problems getting drivers home anyway.

Any foodgrade or chemical tanker company that runs otr will keep you out if that what you want. You just have to let them know. But there arent many that will pay for the time you will be sitting around, or for dropping & hooking. Or fuel and pre trip post trip.

Langer is one that will, however they arent hiring. Just like almost everywhere else right now.
