He's found the only lanes that pay $12 per mile and all expenses plus bonuses just for being a heck of a guy.

No problem driver. I put money down I like the company I like the truck I am retired Army and rental property so i can survive bad weeks. I put $51,000 down some savings plus sold a couple old toys boat and bike so wasnt hard to do and if you double up your first 3 payments after $180 to $190,000 miles it will be paid off. they have multiple ways of doing thing use your credit and get better deal driver

He is wrong, not a leaser badger, but leases are geared toward the company, most will pay far more than the truck is worth, better to go to a dealership if you wish to own a truck, if your credit sucks and you still want to own a truck, maybe you should re-think it

Buying a "truck on your own" is no guarantee that one will be successful either... You have more money upfront
thou... Some companies do have a walk-away-lease, but if buying thru a bank, very hard to just walk-away from
    that obligation..

If one would look, there are also posts where some are successful in their lease/purchase too...

    DenaliDad and kee1227 Thank this.

I have a har time believing that company driver takes home more than $1200 after tax.

This pretty much sums up my opinion on it. A good company driver makes more than this guy in his l/p.

Well? If you got crappy credit, last truck I bought, 07' Pete 379, my payments where $1640 monthly, with $5000 down, now buddy that leased to JCT had same truck, same year, but his payment was $640 a week, so? $640x 52 =$33,280 that's $2773.33 a month, think my deal was better

And you think a l/p guy doesn't have to pay taxes on that 1200?
Actually he probably won't be paying much tax, because there will be so little profit to pay tax on.

I'm taking home after tax on average $1500 a week on a l/p. I make 70% of load and if you average it out I'm getting $1.80 to $2.00 a mile. I don't know of any company driver's making that.
