Right up front, I will say i need a carrier that doesn't require a spotless record. I made some rookie mistakes when i first started, but the most recent ticket on my MVR is over a year old now.
I've been driving since September of 11, and I've been doing flatbed for Western Express since March of 12. I want to get my own tractor but my credit is ten kinds of ###### due to bankruptcy so private financing through a bank is not an option. My only choice is a lease purchase. Yes I know they are a rip off but I'm sick of Westerns ######## and my goal has always been to eventually own my own rig.
So my question is this, what carriers offer a decent purchase program and do not demand a spotless record? Who would you guys recommend?
best lease-purchase?

don't feel to bad man. i'm in the same bost. i'm actuly looking at either PGT or crst malone, i found with crst malone and they are just straight flatbed and o/o and l/p on that side so theres no competeing with company drivers. and both companys you pick your loads off the load boards
#KeepPounding! and Chinatown Thank this. -
I normally don't advise eople to flease but I heard John Christner Trucking has a decent one. Even Swift.
Chinatown, newbee2bee, RizenPhoenix and 1 other person Thank this. -
well i think part of it is that some people don't go into it realizeing what all they have to take care of and keep up with. so they just run like a company driver and let things goto crap.
#KeepPounding! Thanks this. -
Hill Brothers out of Omaha might be worth a look too.

Believe me if my credit wasn't completely shot I would much rather finance through a bank or dealership but thats not an option for me.

Sammons seems to have a unique lease program and is probably about the only one I would consider.
What makes it stand out to me over over companies is that they allow you to use the public load boards in addition to their own load board, they do not have any company drivers competing for the same loads, and they will let you buy off the lease if you can get other financing and take the truck with you elsewhere if you want.
There lease payment program is also very unique, it makes sure that you always get some personal pay but aggressively pays off the truck.#KeepPounding!, fr8te_sh8ker, newbee2bee and 1 other person Thank this. -
Take a look at ACT - American Central Transport out of Kansas City, MO.

i dont know ONE jct driver that ever wound up buying their truck
thats not to say there isnt one
but it is sure not typical -
ya sammons i read gives you driver pay off the top then all your expenses and truck payment come out of the rest. your truck payment isnt a fixed payment. it changes depending what you make during the week.
also crst malone flatbed divsion is all owner operators as well. and there is a ballon payment but they also give you the choice if you dont want to pay a lump sum at the end that theyll finace that ballon payment and you pay it off in like 5 monthsMaximumTexas Thanks this.
