I plan on graduating mid November 2018 and interested in a Northeast Regional position. I have been looking around at a few different opportunities but am interested in hearing from anyone that has some experience. I have looked into Carlisle Carrier, TMC, Schneider Tanker, and Covenant (Dollar General). Obviously money is an important factor but I'm really seeking an opportunity that will offer the best situation when on the road to gain my experience. I want to be able to bring a TV, fridge, etc. on the road with me and have been reading how some companies have restrictions . Any advice is good advice. Thanks,

    Drew

Lily Transportation is big in your area and recently has been hiring new cdl grads. The website has 1 yr. experience required, but they are now hiring new cdl grads on a case by case basis. Lots of regional runs and a couple of new grads that post on here were hired to run teams to California and back with loads of produce.

Calex Logistics in Pittston hires new cdl grads to run California and back, usually with produce. I've seen their trucks here in Las Vegas. One guy said he brings loads of wheelchairs here, then on to California for a load of produce back to PA and other Northeast areas. That's what he posted.

Thanks, I've noticed that! We had two come in last week and speak. They brought in some chic fila breakfast which was great lol but I didn't trust one thing they said. I'm highly interested hauling tankers so I may stick with Schneider to get the experience and training. I just heard they are strict on the amenities in the truck. I'm not trying to eat out everyday so having a fridge is huge lol.

Wadhams Enterprises Inc. is Northeast regional. Different types of trucking.
Terminals all over NY, NJ, PA.
Wadhams has 3 divisions; dry van, petroleum tankers, food grade tankers.
