    Here are my personal faves:
    1. Little America,Wyoming-even in the middle of nowhere I still look forward to visiting that place-fresh hot food, clean restrooms, friendly staff and plenty of parking even when the lot is packed-it NEVER gets old!

    2. South Of The Border-Hamer,South Carolina-excellent hot food at the restaurant (hot dogs are especially delicious). The parking lot could use some work but I’ve always managed to get a spot there.

    3. White’s-Raphine,Virginia-excellent parking, when it’s packed, excellent food options (all hail Nathan’s Hot Dogs, lol),the restaurant and the parking lot is constantly being expanded. Plus it’s fun listening to drivers talk **** to each other on the CB(truckers comedy relief,if you will-lol)

    4. Petro Kenly-Kenly,North Carolina-Lots of parking, expansive gift shop, good food options in and outside of the truck stop.

5.Petro Ocala-Reddick,Florida-Lots of parking pretty decent restaurant.
Well those are my favorites. I’ll amend the list if anything else comes to mind! Lol

You want to hear a good one about the property where Cafe Risque sits? I had a conversation with Mr. E. Phillip Saunders who was the original founder of TA and Travel Ports of America and he told me that he owned that piece of land and wanted to build a truck stop and the local gov't said no to the zoning so he sold it to the owners of Cafe Risque. After they gov't found out what was being built they called him
Been to all but Little America and agree that they are some of the best. Whites has removed the Iron Skillet and let the Quaker Steak be their sit down restaurant. I think they used the space for expansion of the store. Petro Kenly is part of the Moon family dynasty (Iowa 80) and really nice. Remember the giant stuffed bear that used to be at the fuel desk area?

The Key truck stop in Channelview, Texas was fun before they cleaned it up.
The Silver Spur in Pharr, Texas was another good one before they closed it down.
The Gateway in Laredo, Texas was always interesting after dark.
Truckers Paradise in Houston could get interesting also.

you could find just about anything an old school guy could want in those places..

Truckers Paradise in Houston has potholes that would swallow a Kenworth.

Remember the old T/A east of town in Amarillo? Started as the Excel Truck Plaza, my
uncle says. When it was a T/A, it was one of their best. Sits there abandoned now while
the new T/A in town (built where the old 76 was) goes to crap.

The old '76 at Rankin Rd on I-45 North Houston. Saw my first Lot Lizard there. I was driving local then.
Lots of OS loads there heading north to SeaTac with Alaska Pipeline loads in the late 70's. I think in closed early 80's, don't remember the exact year.
