Some of my favorites that no longer exist:

Bruce's Truck Stop, Bakersfield, California (yes, I know it had a bad reputation; don't laugh)

40 Acre Truck Stop, Lakeland, Florida (home to two Amazon distribution warehouses now)

Citgo Auto/Truck Plaza, Haines City, Florida (a VERY crappy Pilot now)

Highway 39 Speedee Shoppe Truck Stop, Plant City, Florida (Kidney dialysis center on the land now)

Hamilton's Union 76 Auto/Truck Stop, Peru, Illinois (later a Dixie, then Crazy Ds; vacant lot now)

Tiki Oasis and Pine Cone Travel Plaza, Peru, Illinois (motel still stands vacant, everything else is demolished)

J's Texaco Truck and Auto Plaza, Pickens, Mississippi (vacant lot)

Pickens Phillips 66 Truck and Auto Plaza, Pickens, Mississippi (vacant lot; started as a Skelly long before my time)

25+ years ago, the Boondocks was a great place to stop for chicken fried steak, but now its a total dump run by Jay Bros.

I always like stopping in at the Kwik Trip / Kwik Star locations for cheap groceries, clean lots, and good food.

Boondock's restaurant was good all the way to the end when the old owners sold out. Also, I know most of the Broadway Flying J's are dumps. But while the one that used to be across the freeway from Boondocks before corporate PFJ came in wasn't too bad. And they sure did have a good restaurant with good food.

Why do you say Jubitz used to be good? What changed at Jubitz?

I agree on Love's...they keep everything stocked too. Not a big fan of T/A, I've been to a few where I tell them the creamer machine needs to be refilled and they just kinda shrug.

    Those were some good ones.

    Also,
Sapp Bros in Denver ( I think its still there)
Giant in Jamestown (now a Flying Jerk)
Texaco ProAm in Amarillo ( Closed some time ago, building and lot still there)
