Hello Everyone,
I am currently in school to obtain my CDL. I am looking for recommendations on companies that are good for otr. I would like to travel all over the Continental US. Looking for companies that will allow tv and fridge options. Looking for companies that have apu or good idle policy. Time off doesn't matter that much to me. I want to spend my first year in my truck for the most part getting miles. I would like all recommendations please and maybe a little reason on why the company you chose would be great. I am trying to do all the research I can as I finish school in Nov and want to be on the road by first of the year. Thanks for your assistance. I am currently living in San Diego California.

have you asked your instructors? I would think they should have some knowlege

They jus tell us to research companies. I plan to call many companies over the next week or so but i figured I could get better responses by asking people who are actually doing the job currently -
Sorry I can't help as I'm east coastBarberTrucker Thanks this. -
@Chinatown has a list of coast to coast companies that's nearly as long.

@Chinatown can you help me out?? I currently live in San Diego

Navajo Express runs coast to coast and has really nice trucks set up for driver comfort. They have a facility or drop yard in Chino.
Dynamic Transit is ok and has a terminal in Los Angeles. They don't run extreme Northeast. Real picky about who they hire. They do hire new cdl grads, but not many. At least apply and see if you get a job offer.
Freymiller - runs coast to coast and trucks are really set up for driver comfort. Once you get an assigned truck, the mechanics in the shop will install a new refrigerator. You would start out under the "Restore Program" for learning their policies and refrigerated trucking.
Danny Herman Trucking - fancy trucks and a terminal in Calexico,California. They usually stay below I-40 and run coast to coast. Their headquarters is in Mountain City,Tennessee. Real picky about the new grads they hire.
Butler Transport - not positive they hire in San Diego, but have seen ads for drivers in Tucson and Phoenix.
Try those and let me know if I can be of more help.
