I have a customer I'm seriously considering dropping because they slow pay me even with ACH.

A friend of mine who’s a Plumber, got tired of slow payers. He started just hollering that in their face. Said it works everytime. I once had a Guy try to nickle and dime Me what was owed. Bunch of excuses. Finally I looked him in the eye, and very seriously said. You have no choice, You have to pay me. He stared into the abyss for a few seconds, went in his house, gave me the cash. Lol. When it comes to money owed, the less said the better. What’s to discuss? Sometimes you have to be an a##hole. Unfortunately.

On a side note. I won’t ever do a direct deduction payment agreement again. I had a term Life Insurance policy expire. They automatically took the “New” premium. Instead of the old $70.00 per mo. rate, they took hundreds. Maybe $600? I forget. It was all in the Contract. Luckily my Bank backed me up. The process included putting a hold on any and all direct payments for a while. It took a lot of time and effort to get it straightened out. What a mess. Never again.

I totally understand. I hate making collections calls but I don't play games when I do. I'm pretty sure I've heard all the excuses too.
