Sorry but I am a carrier and my insurance company would demand a drug test of me if I wanted to hire you. Good luck in your future endeavors.

Hmmmm, I have a felony charge and I've been hired by 2 companies now. Insurance??? If good drivers are as hard to find as everybody says it's going to be, they might just have to rethink there "I'm an all mighty god policy"!!!!!! JMHO

Like 40Cal said, it depends on the severity of the charge and whether it was in a commercial vehicle or not. Learn the actual regulations first.

It also has to do with how long ago as well. A guy that served time 20 years ago for drug possession is different from a guy that did it three years ago while a CDL holder. When I was a recruiter, I had a spreadsheet that listed which companies that accepted felonies, how long ago it had to be, did that time start from date of conviction or date of sentence completion, completely disqualifying felonies, etc. There is no cut and dry answer even with guidelines though.
