Also what are you planning on hauling and where do you plan on hauling it ? good truck $ wise for 1 application might not be the best choice for another application.

there should be all kinds of deals on 03 and older trucks. or anything up to 07. since they won't be allowed in cali.

might even look in the cali section. cuz what's there need to go somewhere.

Agree, I would be willing to go out to California to find a great deal on a 2007 or earlier. Make sure the company you plan on leasing with doesn't have an age limit that will get in the way. I have heard of some really good deals on California pre-dpf trucks. Also start talking to a lender about terms on the types of trucks you are interested in. Sometimes you can get a better deal on a little newer truck, sometimes not. It goes in one ear and out the other with a lot of the posters on this forum but my unrequested advice is to make sure you get something that will go over seven miles per gallon. I get the biggest smile each time the fuel prices go up a few more cents because my mileage is 1.4 to 1.5 mpg better than the FSC formula my company uses and every rise in fuel prices gives me a bigger profit.

the company I worked with for first time buyers likes to see payments stay under $1500 per month.

After that, they will go up to $3000 per month depending on your history.
