    Right on.

Garmin makes nav units for the military, for aviation and for trucks. They also make them for surveying, for farming and so on.

Rand makes maps and I do not think they even manufacturer their own unit ... I don't think they even design it. They make one hell of a truckers atlas, very dependable, holds a charge forever and doesn't have any issues with updating or syncing with you. I always recommend Rand's trucker atlas in large format, with the 11X15 spiral bound laminated screen. Best $75 you will ever spend.

I go with the company that preforms to let planes go form point A to point B without crashing.

I have every truck of mine with a Garmin unit, I had several drivers try out the Rand unit and it failed too much, too much BS to get it working.

I'm using the CoPilot app truck routing on an old LG phone that is not activated. The screen on that phone is 5 1/4 inches and plenty adequate for me. The phone does not need to be active or use any data to work. I have been using it for about 18 days leaving it on 24/7 and haven't had any freeze up issues. They have a 14 day free trial period then I chose the 9.99 a month option after that. I used a google card to pay after the 14 days expired. For me this was a very cheap way to have a GPS with truck routing.
I've never tried another GPS so there may be better ones out there that have all the bells and whistles. But the CoPilot seems very solid so far with good routing giving me no reason to look at others..

I have garmin 770, bought it at Pilot about 8 or 9 months ago.
My gps let's you know speed limit (accurate 90%), traffic and accident (accurate 99%), truck stops and rest areas and walmarts(90% accurate).
I love my gps. It's worth every penny. I never go to same shipper or receiver so this saves me so much time planning my trip.
