That's just my 2 cents but I think I make a good point, hauling tankers is little more work your hauling liquid that bash back n forth,so stopping and braking is little more work correct?

I started out driving dry van then went to tanker. It was a big change as the tanker does things a dry van hasn't even learned yet.:biggrin_2559: That being said I like pulling tanks just takes getting used to the surge and slosh.
CTL has tanker training for recent CDL grads. In their training the trainer is actually in the passenger seat while the trainee is driving. No running like teams. At night the trainer puts the trainee in a motel room and they sleep in the truck.

Yes , but others have also made good points . Starting out on tanker training you adapt to it without having driving habits from pulling other type trailers .

Well, there is more to it than just the surge. In a turn it sloshes from side to side. Each time it sloshes it climbs higher onto the side of the tank increasing the center of gravity and making it increasingly top heavy.

You also have to pay very close attention to what you are hauling, know the dangers of the product, know what to do if something does happen, and know how to unload it.
