They do have options for the APU and my old one use to have to run a burn on it as well.

My idle is limited to 800 so that's what I set it to when I go to bed. It does automatically raise the RPMs when it needs to regen, and then they go back to 800 once the regen is finished. X15 Efficiency Series.

Dd15 only goes up to 900 rpm unless you install a pricey pto. Many Volvos won’t regen unless you leave it at a idle . I took one on a trip set high idle and woke up to dash full of lights . I was told to leave at idle and it randomly raised the rpm and boost by manipulating the turbo actuator. I see at least 50% idling in perfect sleeping weather . I only idle if the Parksmart acts up or it’s below minus 25 .

I’ve noticed with my D-13, if I raise the idle, it will defeat the clean idle mode, and won’t do a regen when it needs to.

It makes the ac spin faster and blow colder. Makes a big deal in the southern heat. I also leave the fan on. Course. That would hurt the heating factor for dpf. But when you're in that much heat.

It also raises the oil pressure.

More states are enacting idle laws. Even generators will probably make the list.

I'd like to know which generators are carb compliant.

I'm noticing portable power packs are coming out now to replace generators. HF sells one. I don't know how good the technology is though. Maybe some day soon as Lithium changes to sodium.

Which one do you have? How long will it run, and what do you run on it. What I mean is what do you use to heat and cool kind of curious on your system

Looks like all the predators are carb.

And the 2000 watts is enough for heater and ac units.

For $70 more though. I'd get the pulsar 4000 from homedepot. It has twice the wattage. For the same size generator as the predator.

How many horsepower are these APUs? Seems like 74 HP and up is the magic number where manufacturers start putting SCR systems on their engines.
