Pittsburghs Power is supposed to be good.

 

You can take it to Detroit Diesel they would be cheaper then Pittsburgh Power. But you don't get all the stuff Pittsburgh Power can do. Detroit will give you a 300,000 mile warranty if engine dont have over 1,000,000 miles on the block.

 

Can you please show me where I can find that in writing?
Detroit Diesel did my 14 liter with 923,000 and they said 1 year warranty period.
No extended warranties available.

 

Maybe they changed the rules but I found this. Engine can't have 1,000,000 or Ten years old now. I think the 10 year old limit is new. You have get the SetUp level 3 or 4 rebuild. Hard to believe it's been 17 year since they stopped making S60. That's probably were they get you now

$22,000 for a Long Block from Freightliner was my quote.

Pretty sure that was no new turbo or injectors.

I would price out different orig Detroit O H kits starting at Detroit shops and Dealers decide what you need and look for Mechanics. There’s a Big shop in Indiana TTS ? maybe used to advertise 13 k -16 k w/ rebuilt trans
