Best Starter Company for a rookie?

    Check into mcelroy, I've read nothing but good things about them, schneider doesn't seem too bad for one of the larger companies. If you check the thread out that I posted, it is possible to get a good local job from the start

    Ok I will let you know I'm still trying to decide between tmc or us xpress but I only have tonight to make up my mind so far it's us xpress but still got a couple hours.

    well i will tell you dont even think tmc if you dont like boot camp they are a bunch of clowns out their i was their in march and i quit in april because of the trainer i had all he wanted to do is drink and sit at the bars and they wont get me a new trainer they told me the closes one to me would be 550 miles away or stay with the one i had and tough it out well i dont drink so i quit now i am going to maverick transportation next month so stay away from them clowns thats my 2 cents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    So you quit because of your trainer? Well to be honest I'm fresh outta the army so the whole boot camp thing is more than likely over rated trust me. If your trainer just drank and sat at bars you should have notified safety they would have taken care of that all you have to do is take a picture for proof and thats that. I'm going TMC so I will let you know how it works out for me.

    As bad as werner is, they might be the only company that will hire him with that huge of a gap between getting the CDL and getting a job.

    If you go with them then just assume you won't be seeing your family for about 3 or 4 months before you get "regular" time off. Start talking to driver placement about 50 hours before you test out to push for a dedicated assignment.
