Best tire size for 4.10 gear ratio

    I got a 96 Pete with 4.10 gears in it. Currently I'm runin 11R22.5 but im thinkin of changing over to 11R24.5 A friend of mine has the same truck with 3.90 gears in it and he runs 11R24.5 so I would think I should be able to as well.

    what kind of application will you be using this truck for if otr 80k max may consider a re-gear

    Its a transfer. Mostly on road driving like paving and dirt, gravel etc...

    then i would probably leave the rears alone and switch to 11r24.5's should be a nice combo for that kind of work.

    yeah I think so too. My log truck has 11R24.5 on it and it has smaller rears on it. Thanks for the input.

    i would agree change the tires. that will get your speed up alittle drop your rpm about 200 rpms still should haave good pulling power
