Even if they are, they should still be ok to use, they just won't carry as much weight.

I'm sorry I Was speaking to kingpin to center of rear axle. Wisconsin is 43 feet. We can't make that with two of our 53 foot spread axel dropdecks.

There’s a lot bigger than that running around and they’re not getting into trouble

Do they make 53 footers with wheels all the ways to the back?

Yep. We have 2. Not very common because of the above stated problem. Back axle doesn't slide so it can be limiting as to where you are legal. They also dont like to turn. I don't have a good pic of one on my phone or I would post it.

I guess I can honestly say I’ve never seen a 53 footer with wheels fixed to the back.

I've never seen one in person either. That would make for one hell of a swing.

Both of my trailers are 41.5' king pin to center with 18" king pin set back. My Fontaine has a sliding rear axle. My MAC does not. Illegal in a few states. How ever,. other than in Fla,.. I have never once been hassled,.. not even in Cali. And For Fla,.. its a $20 annual permit and they leave you alone.

I’ve seen a couple, my lowboy is 53’ (58’ with the pin on axle) with the axles all the way back and I get around. I realize it’s a little different situation.
