I was an agent for a bit before coming back to driving. Many agents will enter 500 miles or less to get a quote. They gamble that you won't have an issue outside that radius. If you do Progress will cancel you for a change in operation. You can get a quote for over 500, but the agent has to call in to get it. Progressive was one of the companies we were appointed with and placed a lot of new ventures & hot shots with them.

100k cargo with reefer breakdown
1 mil general liability
50k. Uninsured
2 tractors 2 trailers at a whopping 34 k a year.
We're based on florida .. it's ridiculous

I'm in Florida too. That's a big strike against you before you even start.
