I run this way all of the time myself, up and down. Friday was the most recent.

If he runs that way, he will end up making a right turn on to I-16 WEST (2 turns lanes, plenty of room to stay in the right lane), when he gets on I-16, he needs to stay in the right lane for a few extra seconds because the left lane is a bad merge with I-16 traffic. After that, he needs to get in the far left lane to make the exit for I-75 SOUTH (depending on where he is going in Macon, this is assuming he will go south towards Tyson and the new Love's). It doesn't bring you out WEST of I-75, it brings you out 1 mile EAST of I-75.

US 41 is the Pio Nono exit (it's probably marked US 41 SOUTH also, but the name Pio Nono always gets my attention, for whatever the reason). Just be careful in that couple of miles from US 129 to I-16 to I-75.

A lot of folks don't like "running through the woods." That is an easy run, a little two lane just SOUTH of the T/A south of I-20, then 2-lane from Eatonton to the Gray Bypass, but it isn't bad. You will have (2) 4-way stop signs. The first one you will think is in the middle of no where, and it is. The second one is where you turn right onto the new Gray Bypass. That Bypass ends at a red light. Turn right and you are back on US 129/441 SOUTH to Macon.

Assuming he took the suggested route from Opus and myself, Poppa didn't get close enough to Atlanta for traffic to matter very much.
