I've always had great luck on eBay, but you have to have lots of pics and write a good ad.

take the truck to the auction you might get a little less money but you won't waste a lot of time getting stroked by tire kickers

Truck paper, the for sale section on the forum (trading post) eBay craigslist. You can run a free ad on truck paper now if its your first ad.

As for a truck used on the farm its hard to say. Depends on what you plan on using it for. Hopper bottom I'd want something light weight, that eliminates a 379 or w900 they're pretty heavy. Freightliner makes a light truck, as well as international. You're contradicting yourself a little by wanting somewhat newer but without the computer crap. After about 94ish I believe they went to electronic motors, and I wouldn't own a B model with a date of manufscutre after 88 because the pump was junk.

If you don't mind some computer but don't want the emissions anything up to 2003 year model on the truck is alright. If you're looking mechanical and want to stay with a CAT there are a few trucks years 80-87 that will do you well. An old cab over would shave a little more weight too to maximise load and profit. Know a guy with an old 9670 that can scale 57000lbs legally on a spread axle pot. Aluminum frame rails, 100 gallon tanks. Got an old 400 big can and a 9spd I believe he wants to sell it too PM me and I can give you his contact information if you'd be interested in that. God running truck and has had a lot of work done to it lately that I can vouch for personally.

When you go to a mechanical motor at times fuel milage can suffer but I've seen old B models get 6 and above when they're driven right and with the right gear setup. Its all in exactly what you want to recommend the correct truck for you.
