I stay in the same truck, but swap out to different trailers frequently. Would like some tips on hanging my tarp straps off the truck. No I don’t have a headache rack, the trailers all have header boards.
Best way to store tarp straps

Bungees stored exposed to road spray and sun will fall apart fast. I buy a new box every 2 years or so to replace the ones that get cut. Rarely do they snap from UV degradation.cke, OldeSkool, blairandgretchen and 6 others Thank this. -
I roll them up in the tarp if I have no place to store them on truck, have done it this way since I began, at least that way I know I always have them

A section of 4” abs pipe cut just long enough to keep em tight but not so long as to have much tension on them.
I usually keep a spare oversized sign in the pipe. I can’t remember if I stumbled on this method on here or irl.jamespmack, cke, OldeSkool and 5 others Thank this. -
If you have side steps, remove them and replace them with step “Boxes” for storage.

Use rope. No problems.

Get a couple of duffel bags. Loop the 21" cords like you would if you hung them off the trailer or headache rack and toss them in the duffel. Do the same for the 31" and throw both bags in the luggage compartment of your cab.
