I guess its a chemical tanker thing then. Most tanker jobs around here require you have one Theres several chemical plants around here where you need it to gain entry
I drive tankers. I can only think of a couple of places that required them and that was years ago. I’m flying out to Montana in a few weeks, think I will use it as my ID card to get through security. Will be interesting to see how far I get! Hopefully won’t be thrown in the hooscow!! LOL
this question has gotten so obscured it wasn't about what do you have a TWIC card or use it it was just simply do you have to use the stupid little holder?? OMG!!
Getting out of line haul. I'm exploring several options and I'd rather have it and not need it as opposed to need it and not have it. I paid $125.25 and it's good for five years. Breaks down to $25.05 per year. Yeah...I can afford that. For example, Mercer requires it. slim shady is another example of someone who uses it often. Several other possible situations in which I may use it. So, I'd be a fool to categorize the card as a total waste just because some drivers say so. After all, I don't plan on following their particular career path.
Excellent point. I simply asked how to carry it and we get some drivers telling me it's a waste of money. They see the world through the lens of their individual experiences and pass judgement accordingly. It's a common fallacy.
I'm sure there's probably a bunch of threads do you have a TWIC card and how often have you used it if you search basement of truckers report there's probably plenty of TWIC use related stuff? ? I'm just laughing at how It Was written out so easily and yet so hilariously every answer but almost
I have a Lanyard just like that I wear mine around my neck 24-7 just like Dogtags. After going through thee long dragged out process of acquiring one and realizing the utter importance of having it , I would never risk the Implications of not being able to Produce It.
