Ok kids.....that other thread talked about the longest drive time....
Big deal....Let's talk real bragging rights....
    What was your shortest Deadhead?

My shortest was to drop two 40' "Empties" at the Port of Long Beach and turn around to get a 20' "Empty" to go to Oakland......Oh and btw...."Empties" pay better than the packed containers....Just don't tell the port drivers you're getting more per mile than they are...They tend to get a little bothered by that fact...:biggrin_25523:

    Top that if you can.....

    Let the bragging begin!!!!!!! :biggrin_25523:

Two dock unload and reload at the same place in WI. Too bad one was on a hill with not enough room to the front, but the other was easy enough to make up for it. They even resealed you between unloadings and reloadings. I wouldn't do it with that darned 2 pedal autoshift I'm driving now, though.

Three docks at Waterloo but usually only loaded one way. I have dropped and reloaded there though, too. Just that the reload was a drop and hook gone bad so what should have taken 4 hours max took almost 6.

This isn't mine...But I thought it was a great one.

Just last week, my buddy unloaded, then re-loaded, in the same door.

Never pulled out of the dock. Soft drinks in, pallets out :biggrin_255:

You really should have made this one harder...cuz lots of drivers reload at the same place.

I don't know if this is something to brag about, but while a friend and I worked for a game catching and translocation company in South Africa, we did 3 countries and lived in the truck for over 5 months without ever seeing home. Dunno if you guys will know this truck, but we are are tall lads, about 6'5 and the truck we drove was a Isuzu FTR 800. While I was driving during night times, he was sleeping and while he is driving during the day, I was sleeping. The cab was a tad bit too small for our long bodies. Was the best time of my life.

About 100 yards between loaded and empty. 3 to 4 loads an hour $50 a load. 18 hour days for days on end. All on private property, no roads no log book :D
