In other words, Hello! I'm here to read through your archives and find a top notch trucking school / company. I've already decided where not to work (I love that post where you traced the ip back to the company before replying) so hopefully with your help I'll find something great.

    About me:
I have no trucking background but ever since I started to drive a few years ago, I've spent all my savings on gas. I truly am addicted to driving.

I bought my first car, an old Mitsubishi stick shift and as soon as I stopped stalling, I quit my job went on a road trip. I went from Murfreesboro, TN to Boulder, CO to Yorkton, SK (My first time in Canada), to Lancing, MI to Washington, D.C. and then back home. I slept in my car almost the whole trip and felt back pain for the first time in my life. I also understood why you -have- to idle in winter.

I now work flexible part time jobs that don't really pay the bills but I have so many great stories from the road, I just can't give it up; So here I am, looking for a future in trucking, trying to dig myself out.

I know this isn't the forum for it but if you have any good schools or programs in mind, post or PM me! The Search button with thank you..

..and I thank you for reading my post.

Welcome Certijal-I would check out the community colleges in your city and surrounding areas. They are normally much more reasonable and many are certified by their states. Plus they may have contacts within the industry to help you get your foot in the door after you graduate. Many also can get you Gov grants or loans to help defray the cost. Steer clear of CR England, Prime, Stevens, Werner and most of those other driver mills. They make good infomercials and talk a great game. But they are called mills cause they will grind you up, cheat you out of wages, and ruin your reputaion in the industry. Remember-if it sounds too good to be true, get the Hell out of there. Good luck to you.
