I guess I am way behind in the latest audio gadgets people have these days. I have a I-Pod but playing the same library over and over gets old. I don't listen to too much FM radio since I am tired of hearing the same old songs over and over again and when I get west of WI it's dang hard to find and keep a station. I rather listen to sports , nascar, new etc . I do know about XM satellite but I never looked into the cost of it. I have been seeing small receivers plugged into the truck deck through I believe what would be the AUX port in the front. any recommendations / cost?

If you use XM its cheaper to get internet radio on your phone than it is to get the radio and pay the sub for it...then just plug your phone into the aux input on your radio.

Satellite radio is crucial!! I couldn't live without it. I have Sirius, and it costs about $15 per month. I would gladly pay twice that, and still consider it a bargain.

I just installed a Alpine CDE-HD148BT for $249.99. It has SiriusXM, bluetooth, and HD radio. Everything from the phone simply bluetooths over to the radio. I also found my 9 year old Sirius Streamer GT. IT STILL WORKS!!! :biggrin_2559: Too bad the audio quality is terrible.

Going to install 4 new speakers and a "small" sub ;)

Nobody ever mentions this...but this WILL use quite a bit of data.

My last company truck the radio was setup for XM already, I moved my subscription over to it..
Never again..I prefer the standalone units.
