Thanks for the updates, and good to hear things are getting better and better.
Id also like to know what happened to the lease but I hate to open that can-o-worms.
Thanks again -
I believe the total bill is around $3,000 and the payments are for a little over $100 each month. No idea what the interest rate is - but I imagine it's a pretty penny!
We haven't heard any word on the lease - other than confirmation that they received his notice on the lease and that they have picked up the truck from the shop. If we do receive a bill for the lease - we do plan on fighting it because he was specifically told that he could back out of the lease at any time. It was something he asked before signing on the dotted lineNavigatorWife Thanks this. -
hope you got that part in writing

My husband had almost the same experience. His leased truck broke down on day 2, he was under a load. England sent another truck to finish his load, he sat with the truck for a full day while it was repaired. When the truck was fixed he notified dispatch and they never responded. He sat and waited for 2 days, sending messages that he was ready for a load and did not receive a single reply. We decided they were not going to send him a load and he should come home. We parked the truck in a secure lot and he got another job. Every day for 3 weeks we checked to see if there was a message from dispatch, nothing! The truck sat there for 5 weeks and the only contact we have had with C.R. England since was a bill for items purchased at a truck stop in Arkansas. My husband was never in Arkansas with their truck!

WOW - I'm sorry that happened - but it doesn't surprise me at all considering who it was. They are really something else. Not even sure how in the world they stay in business.

Lol! I totally believe that! I did one month with Werner back in 2000. My current employer saw that, and laughed it off. Told me not to worry about, then hired me. Been the best job I've ever had too.
Ibeck, I wouldn't worry about CRE. Any GOOD trucking company will blow off CRE. Just make sure your hubby doesn't job hop, and you'll be fine. And hubby sounds like a hard worker who doesn't expect much but a fair days pay for a fair days work. I think you two will be fine.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
True story: I witnessed two accidents within 12 hours in MO last year. Both trucks were CRE.
