That's funny coming from somebody in GA.

 

I didn't know that was a trick they did in Ohio by clocking one vehicle and then pulling a different one over but that is exactly what happened to me about 25+ years ago in Ohio on I70 near Dayton in a work zone.

I was the slow car in the right lane going 55 in a 45mph non active work zone. 3-4 cars passed me doing 65+ and the cop was there waiting. I thought he was going to pass me and go after one of the cars well ahead of me who had just passed me when he was sitting on the side of the road but he pulled me over and gave me a 65mph in a 45 ticket. It was obvious that I wasn't the one going 65. I was driving an old ### 1970 Oldsmobile 98, basically a house boat and those other cars were 1/2 a mile ahead of me already.

Must have been the out of state plates. I explained to him what happened but he didn't want to hear it even though he had just watched it.

I was driving from the Navy base in North Chicago to Norfolk VA for electronics school and would never be in Ohio again so I just threw that ticket in the trash. Never heard anything about it. Screw that #######.

Funny thing is...both are the punchlines to a lot of jokes. In Ohio everyone may make you feel like your with family, in West Va, everyone IS family.

Loved it. Once it got up to speed, it was like driving a cloud. Just floated down the highway. lol. Good times. One I bought, still had a 8 track in it. Mind you I bought it in...the early 90s I think. Good little car for $300 bucks. Guy before me who had it, had some kinda box speaker set up in trunk. You could see where the wires connected, but he had taken out the after market radio and speakers and box.

Watch out for dragons if anyone is driving through Ohio on Friday.

Back in the day I used to have a cleaning contract with the last big nightclub in town.

They were months behind on paying but the manager was a old buddy from way back when and I used to bar back there at night in my younger days.

Anyways I used to stop by there and get a little payback time to time.


One night my little brother and I stopped by for 1 that turned into many one Friday night

As I was getting ready to leave my buddy the bar manager loaded us up with a couple cases of beer and booze being we were all going partying on the boat for the weekend .

Well pulling out of there at closing time it was a steep climb at the exit onto US41.

I got a little aggressive with the throttle in my Camaro when I released the clutch pulling out .

Immediately lit up from behind with another cop cutting in front and walking back towards us.

We had 2 open beers in the car and my little brother never went anywhere without a lit joint.

Cop storms up to the car and we’re both smoking cigarettes like it’s our job

Asks for our Ids and ask why were smoking so much.

Our reply. “We like to smoke”. I’m a non smoker by the way.

I hand him our Ids knowing we are Deadmen

Suddenly the one cop behind us yells towards the one in front of us and he runs back and throws our ids at us and they both peel out of there with us both going wtf just happened.

Total Super Troopers move.
