Hi All.
Just got off the tele with a recuiter from Gordon trucking. They approve Biddix Training school so that's the next stop. They will reimburse tuition after 6 week training with their own trainer and I start solo.
I'm looking at thier B.C. runs because they would offer a little (not much) more home time and that run has a drop off terminal in Mount Vervon WA. 10 miles from my home. Any input on Biddix school or Gordon trucking would be more than welcome as would any tips or advice on this industry.
Thanks

not alot of info on gordon on this site. dont think too many of their drivers are on here. but good luck!

check out the Gordon trucking forum: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/gordon/
I have heard mostly good about them, but their pay scales for experienced drivers is wildly uncompetitive -
what is their pay for drivers? i think i heard awhile back it was like .29 a mile to start?

yeah so its not the best but i guess its not bad for just starting out either. the thing that would scare me about gordon is i wouldnt wanna get stuck in one of those old crappy columbia's but the cascadia's are nice and i love apu's

not to jack your thread but since your in washington have you looked at twt/system transport? new guys start out at .325 on the flatbed side and .31 on the reefer side. plus the reefer drivers only run west coast but im on the system side and am very happy. just a thought

they are still a small company especially on the reefer side they have maybe 100 trucks all kw 660's and pete 386's. and one or two kw 680's. cant say for the reefer operation the but flatbed side is top notch.
jomar68 Thanks this.
