The only people I know that run 24.5's are mostly farm and log or dump offraod trucks with 4:10 or lower gears. I don't care for the extra rolling resistance but just have a belief they're unecessary for otr trucks. If you run them otr thats fine it doesnt matter to me. It might be true the difference in fuel mileage and cost is insignificant to a one truck operation like mine but I'm ok with that. It's just a personal preference..

I always thought the 22.5 talls looked goofier than the 24.5's. I could go with LP 24.5's but that would bump up my RPM at 70mph. Plus my truck sits low enough, any lower and I'd always have to put it on the lift to get under it.

Ok kids just to clear this up ... A RTLO 18913A allready has an overdrive gear in the main (front ) box , the splitter in the AUX (rear) box is 17% under and as far as I know fuller doesn't make an OD splitter for the newer (8 series up trans. Also the main for a 13 and 18 of the same design level and torque are the same , one bushing is replaced with a bearing and the knob and interlock are changed as was mentioned earlier. Don't let fullers marketers fool you either a "15"
speed has 3 overlapping ratios so it is really a 12 speed with 15 selectable positions
