Ron, that is sad.. That Pan we hauled was less miles and better gross money. And it only weighed like 68k

Why don't they just come right out & ask how much are you willing to pay to haul our freight?

    sure

Some guy just bid 2900 to move a d155-7 dozer with the blade on 800 miles for 2900

And another guy bid $11k to move a fully dressed 385 excavator from FL to TX - 190k plus or minus and 16 plus tall
Uship is just an unlicensed broker with even less of a clue about heavy haul, permits, uh what are permits.....

    Yes I am #####y ....

Hey @Rontonio have you thought about dropping the jeep and booster at home and taking on the smaller loads until the big stuff picks up again?

I have thought about it but run into a few issues

I am 66k empty with a 26' well and 26" deck height and my trailer is 58'.

This limits what I can haul as I can't put enough weight on the deck to take any arch out, so I am tall most of the time. And most states will require me to permit empty moves.

So I am limited as a seven axle to about 70k load capacity and my permits in ton mile states get stupid expensive compared to regular 6/7 axle guys. But I would do it if it made sense.

Only moved 2 loads in Jan but still had an ok month. I know it is hit and miss at this time but the inactivity wears down even the most confident among us.

Oh, also the absurd brokers can wreck a perfectly good day.
Plus I am still grinding through a divorce...so my attitude could use a tune up.

On the plus side it was 85 degrees here in Arizona today

Wow. I clearly have clue about oversize rates...lol

You all must have a better business mindset than an average operator to keep track of so many varying expenses dipping into your bottom line. Just my thoughts.
