Ha, mine can get down right mean!!

 

I worked with an old boy that had some marriage advice-
"Want to know where you are at in your marriage? Before you walk in the door, strip down, put your unit in one hand and your paycheck in the other- see which one she grabs first."

 

Which thread was that? I need a good laugh.

 

Appreciation of elders.

 

My status has taken a hit, reduced to being a container hauler. But in my defense, it is a 70,000 lb container.

 

There is no defense. Disgraceful

 

Got a good laugh today. We were hauling the second set of beams. Going through this small town and this kid was walking out from a side street head down and hands in his pockets. Just as he rounded the corner I got there and when he looked up and saw the beam his jaw hit the sidewalk. Classic look on his face.

The hell with impressing other drivers, I will take that any day. Not looking to impress anyone, but to give the kids a thrill like that is priceless.

 

Had the same experience with an old Mexican couple tonight, pops decided to pull out in front of me at the last second, bright lights & air horn while standing on the brakes to keep from killing them, mom was slapping the crap out of him as I slid over a lane to go around them. Priceless!

 

Lol... No chance of hitting the kid. He was just amazed/shocked at the load. Kinda the WOW factor.
