Same applies on a deck. Just run end of tracks up on some blocks and it will let you slide the stick closer to the body. That thumb and quick coupler is what messed you up from curling it more.

Sorry I wasn't trying to nitpick you looks like a good load. That's one of the challenges with a beam trailer. It probably has full height crossmembers I would guess.

No worries, first time lowered it down after taking bucket off had the coupler curled as much as it would go, but the hydraulic cylinder was going to be sitting on a cross member above 1st trailer axle so wasn't able to do it like that, and the loaded picture is with the arm/stick in as far as it would go.

Yup have full height cross members and a covered boom trough

I figured that with a beam, if I ever ordered a beam it would still have a boom trough and recessed cross members. I'm curious how much fender clearance you have with your 5th wheel slid all the way forward with that 110" swing neck.

Not quite 2 inches. Wish this neck was just a little longer

I would like to have a 30" flip I would need more 5th wheel slide bot I could get 20,000 on my steer. Right now with 20 20 20 on my drives I'm maxxed out at 12,500 on the steer. I like that high arch neck your trailer has, mine will rub my fenders if I'm heavy and not careful.

Both the Pin grabber style coupler and bucket mounted thumb Tend to screw with the geometry of the whole thing, and honestly makes them dig funny too!!

Also with some couplers you can grab the bucket backwards!! Making it a "shovel" and changing the range of motion, looks funny but hey whatever works!!
