Would you hook from the outside over the edge of the trailer onto the inside of the track?

 

I hook from the inside of the track to rail of the trailer and from the outside of the track to the inside of the beam in the center of my trailer. I also hook from the square cut out in the side frame down to
Either a d ring or the webbing. And the I use a shackle on the center eye front and back and go to the webbing or d rings inside the beams on my trailer.

 

Here's how I do it on medium sized excavators I had a better picture but I can't find it.

About the Same as ron quoted.

 

When I haul the pipe layers I also chain around the weight rack then down to a d-ring. This serves two purposes. It holds the weight rack from leaking out and it adds an extra tiedown point.

 

Must be on a long haul. 3 pipelayers today 4 chains.. Job superintendent was like why so long.. need to get moving..

 

Going to be in Mt Vernon monday. Loading to Iowa. Might run across ya sometime this week.
