And if you sneeze or cough while lining up on the trailer, off you go.

I agree on the too much stuff to go wrong!!!

Feel that way about all the new stuff, cars, trucks, equipment, things in our homes!! I do not like fly by wire, unless it's bailin' wire!!!

The two graders I've spent enough time in,, one was a straight framed Gallion, had an IH diesel that you started on gas, switched to diesel once it was warm enough. And a cat 120 ??? forget the series, late '80's vintage. Unless you want to count the York Workmaster pull type!!! worm drive hand wheels on that thing,, fun!!!

Point is I was rather surprised at how intuitive the joysticks actually were,, I think one would get used to them quicker than expected.... who knows,, it's hard to relearn something you've done for decades!!!

First time I was on a deere hydro dozer,,,, 550,,,
    Now we always had Cats...
was getting used to the joystick and controls, beginning to like it and get the hang of it..... not having to think about every little thing I did,,,,,
And that's when the muscle memory bit me in the backside!!!
    Went for reverse,,,,,
turned my hand palm out!!! while turning to look over my right shoulder!!!!
just the way had always done.....
    and in one fluid motion,,,,
slammed that joystick all the way forward, allthway left and back for second reverse!!!!!
Except this ain't no cat power shift!!!

That Deere did an about face and nearly tossed me out over the side!!!
    WOW!! what a ride!!

I found a key hidden in a Deere backhoe, one of my neighbors had rented,, and tried to "borrow" it one night on my way home from the bar!! Well "After Midnight"!! Not one of my better ideas...

Anyway when I got out on the blacktopped state road!
Figured out that the diff lock was locked when it wouldn't turn and I nearly ran into the guard rail across the road!!
I couldn't figure out how to unlock it!!
2 am crosswise on a state road between two guiderails in a "borrowed" backhoe that you don't have permission to borrow!! doing what seemed like a 200 point turn!!!
What Level of Brilliant does that take?? Beyond Guinness....
Got a little Captain in ya!!
    No it was alotta Captain!!

Awe, it's so cute when someone leaves a P&H in the dryer too long and shrinks it into a Hitachi...lmao!

Oh, and incase you actually think a Hitachi is small... image.jpeg

Heavy Hammer, how far did they move that unit. That's alot of pull and push trucks. Bet it didn't set any land speed records. Lol
