Another Star Car? If it is, doesn't sound like a special order for them (Freightliner, ya, mother story). Took a tour of their factory back in '11 before I ordered mine, the stuff they were building all on the same assembly line was phenomenal!

 

Yea another Star - I would have thought the same but they said the delay in build is due to the aux

 

Are you getting the Fuller or the "renamed" Spicer?

I'm always interested in the way folks that order their trucks set them up. Since I started in '78, all my trucks were spec'd and ordered by me except in '99 when I bought a IH 9900 off the dealers lot. My Star turned out on the heavy side for the truck that it is (came in 1100 lbs more than the dealer said it was, I know htf can you be that far off?) so now I'd like to renew and leaning towards the Pete 567. I don't know..........4 spd? What are you pairing it with? Manual or air?

I love my DD15 (the only one that came close to being comparable was the 3406e in the IH) and for what I do I was thinking about the DT12 trans. I'm just reluctant about another heavy truck and the Star a/c system (or lack of). Thanks for taking the time Ron.
