What model 631? E model or older it's the middle lever, G or newer with the single "joystick" it's the thumb switch. I'm assuming your talking about the arm that controls the door? It raises up above the neck.

    It is a G -

Have to load it backwards on the neck but if I can't get close to 13' on the ground it will be too tall on on my flat deck trailer

If the apron is closed and the cushion hitch is collapsed that's as low as she gets.

If the "banana" ram that lifts the door isn't closed all the way you can disconnect the big rod on the door and drop a little height. Have you got my #?

With the door closed and the can on the ground the ram should still have some room to collapse a little more.

    Oxbow and johndeere4020 Thank this.

@Rontonio , just got home. this is the best pic I have of a 31D loaded the way I think you would load? Decent view of the "banana". In a pinch, to drop an extra 2-3" you could pull the pin that attaches the ram to the banana, and let it fall down onto the end of the ram. I have not done this but have been close and I am sure it can be done, although a service truck crane would help alot, some inginuity could get er done. As I remember I was able to get these to 14-8, but I never got to move a G model. Also neck width is VERY close so check on that too. Ive had to grease the insides of the tires to get them to slide down.
