Tacoma hid the snow on its own thankfully. Lol Coming over the coquihalla and up to Kamloops there was lots! Supposed to get another 20cm of snow on the south coast tonight/tomorrow which is pretty rare! Starting to feel like when i lived in Edmonton but just a bit warmer here.

Just shy of $400 a sheet. I buy steel good, but not THAT good! Unless your prices were from the '04 to '08 years, where steel quotes were only good for 6 hours, I'm thinking you should tell your steel suppliers to get back to reality! 130ksi and 140ksi are a little bit more, but not really that much more...

I was thinking bout building me a couple more heavy duty benches in the shop, maybe 1 i could roll around and put a big vise on. Wonder what a piece of 3/4" or even 1" 4x8 sheet would cost? Any ideas?SAR Thanks this. -
But, in the meantime... the grade of steel doesn't matter, right? You mentioned bolting a vice to it, so it sounds like it's just a heavy table that can take abuse? Just to make sure your not planning on critical measuring off of it. 1018 ain't perfect either, but it's a lot more consistent. But... unless I'm mistaken, you only need the heavy "beef". So the cheapest, A36 will be fine, right?1951 ford, snowman_w900 and MJ1657 Thank this.
