Nah I'm going to illinois to grab one and take to Carlisle pa job. Then back to the local shuttle. Three of us are staying back here to do this. Better $$$ in it. Plus if I want I can be home every night.

 

I'm starting a job with a company that does alot of oversize work, can you gents give me a few quick pointers...didn't want to start a whole thread.

Swing wide, use your mirrors and don't hit stuff, listen. Pretty vague question but there is lots of knowledge here if you ask and listen

 

Read your permits! And get an oversize guide book.

 

When you show up to load, its a good idea to put a tape on it and measure to check dimensions coincided with your permits.

If its tall, ALWAYS stick it! Get a height pole.

Not just the route info on the first page. Read ALL of it. The last line on the last page might be the difference between you walking out of a scale heading down the road or parking in back with voided permits.
