Not being a smart arse here. But make sure it is a mim of 6 inches higher than you load. Hopefully they have a true proper pole, not some painters pole the converted to a high pole.
The reason I say stop if they hit, is I made a big mistake years back. I hit about an inch down, ok I'll ease on through.. Famous last words. I hit the bridge. Night move and it was ugly. Ruined a machine, lost a job. Plus other issues that occurred after..
Watch out for tree branches as well..
    Be safe young man

Thanks for the advice. I DID think about tree branches. There were a few small towns in Texas i center lined just to be sure. I see what y'all were sayin about high loads bein something you avoid. The first 300 miles I ran solo and the stress factor was definitely there. Reason being... the broker told us the load was going to be 14'6. Said he had it checked and it was accurate. Come to find out the point that "looks" to be the high point up front actually is not. The arch in the trailer tilts the front down and makes the point in the center the high point at 15 foot. I was able to call the other driver to come back to re measure his. So after two days of back and forth the guys who designed it showed up to measure and confirm I was correct. Which made them all happy because we avoided a big problem but left me paranoid cause I almost left. TripleSix 's "A-game" speech saved me big time

Good for you. At least you didn't go down the road thinking 6 more inches no big deal, I'll be ok. Women may want 6 more, but in our line of work, it can get ugly real fast. Then people get hurt or killed, plus ld destroyed etc
Again good for you measureing and holding you ground on making it right

Yellow Pete, I think the only Pete we have is Stubby. Yes the owner does like to keep things up and nice..
Good man to pull for also.
If weather nice I got to wash my setup as it needs a bath. I kinda got chewed out for bringing the one trl back dirty.

I remember callin them up for a job posting I seen a few years ago when I was fresh from the oilfield. Guy named dan or Dave told me I wasn't ready if I didn't know my way around over ther road. I was mad then but understand now lol

Hey Red, do you know what to do if your pole car tells you that he hit? Stop, right? What next?
