In some of your pics I see your running the 4 axles on the trailer close together then in other pics your using a spreader bar. What is the difference between the 2?

I currently haul cars and I'm extremely interested in you guys line of work. I spend more time on here than the car hauler section. Hopefully one day I can make the switch

How much weight I can carry on a axle group. Each state has different limits, some will let me have 80k on 4, some 70k some only 60k. That's where the spreader bar comes in, makes it a separate axle group, and most all states will let me have 20k on it.

To add to what @skootertrashr6 said

Missouri will give you 144k on a 4 axle truck with a tight 4 axle trailer. With a 4 truck and a 3+1 trailer they will give you 160k. IMG_2891.jpg

cke, skootertrashr6 and Razororange Thank this.

When I attended the SC&RA symposium at conexpo the speaker said they are starting to make endroads into the western states allowing quads up to 80,000.

Just popped the brakes here at the T/A in Hebron. Was going back over my permit and jackwads didn't even route me to Ohio cat. Have me getting off 70 in Zanesville on OH-60D SB and getting onto us-22 and going easy and permit stops at OH-93.
