    This is true. I found that out.

    The other guy for my company who pulls the multi axle found out twice about the tail swing issue.

    Both times in the same spot. This was the second time. You can see the reinforcement plates on the top and bottom from the first time 2 weeks earlier.

    Thanks for all the answers! Around here we really do not have an issue with length as far as permits or pilot cars go, and locally parking is not much of an issue. Most the dealership trucks (equipment dealers) and the guys that haul for the dealerships leave them on all the time to reduce permit costs, and because they often haul multiple loads a day, some of which require the boosters.

    I know I know...
    He overheard somebody talking rates at about $10/mile and thought "WOW, I make ok $$ pulling this stepdeck @ $1.75/mile, if I buy a trailer like that and cut his rates to $7/mile I'll make $$ hand over fist! Woopee!"
    Then the reality hits that at $7/mile you can't cover the costs, truck won't run without fuel, so you skip out on permits n such...
    Happens time after time...
