A long time ago as a newb bed-truck driver I was hauling a cement bin to a rig and got pulled over just north of Swan Hills. It was extremely foggy so I thought it was a good idea to be more visible. The officer disagreed and got out his tape measure, but then couldn't believe it when I was "just" wide enough. I told him it was probably the fog that made it look smaller.

Or it might have been the fact I was holding the end of the tape. :D

Did that with a dot cop in tenn. Once many moons ago. Measured my bridge length. Could belive I was long enough! Of course as he is walking the tape measure back I'm wading the end up in my hand.....got 2 extra feet!! And he was non the wiser!!

Haha. Just because you're not holding the "smart end" of the tape measure, doesn't mean you're not the smartest one holding one end.

I passed an 8-axle today with a D8T on a beam trailer. Still had the blade on it, with surprised me a bit.

He was still sitting there this morning, on the side of the Beltway.

Certainly not the best place to be waiting for an escort.

    Oxbow Thanks this.
