I haven’t done that one but the seals on my cylinder for the arm blew out - so mine is hanging down like limp .... stuck in Florida till it is rebuilt - hopeful to get it back Monday

What does the support arm do?

It holds up the neck on the back of the truck frame or in this case the jeep frame while it is detached from the trailer

It was not a good feeling that's for sure... she's all welded up now and a new cylinder on. Ready to go to work.

Then he's better than me, I've done it a few times. Not proud of it but I have, it's usually when I get out of my routine. The first time I did it I got both fenders, I drove 50 miles with it down but it was all freeway interchanges, I turn left on the road where I park my trailer and felt it grab the frame and hit the fender, I didn't know what happened so I made a quick right into a parking lot and got the right fender.

Feedman, sawmill, Tug Toy and 4 others Thank this.

For me it is always forgettting to unpin the booster ....

That is always the way - someone breaks my routine and things go to hell

I've only done it once where it did damage. After that I contemplated installing a spring switch like the old jake brake/clutch switch with a warning light in the cab. Never got around to it though.

    SAR and johndeere4020 Thank this.
