You can see on the pavement that other people have already tried to clearance the road to their trailers.

I know my comfort lane. I was asked to drive the end dump tomorrow. Start at 8am, it will be hooked up and ready to go, heater on. The Volvo. With the Auto-shift. He said; work til you get tired. Now that is a "comfort lane"

Kinda of a long story - but it starts like this.....get it will be ready on Tuesday the 12tj and it has a crane appointment for the 20th in California

Well it didn’t pass QC the first time - needed 3 hours of re-work that turned into 36 hours of re-work and oh by the weigh it is too heavy to load with our overhead crane when full of oil.

And it went from there... the sad news is I am still waiting on permits.

Ordered VA last Friday morning and they did not issue until 3 pm today. Their initial route required a 500 miles detour to get to TN. The final route is 35 miles to N.C. instead.

But no joy because N.C. has not issued my superload permit in part because all the supervisors who can approve the permit were Ins “meeting” today and didn’t work a single application. So if I don’t get the NC permit tomorrow, I will be stuck until at least Monday and with the holiday curfew for AZ being Friday at noon. This will likely result in me having to sit in either TX or NM until after Christmas and then giving me only a small window to try for a Friday delivery just before New Years.

All total I will have 3.5 weeks in thismliad at that point.

So you want to do heavy haul, well here it is - getting f’d by everybody because I doesn’t cost anybody but the truck and maybe the end customer

Oh - I get a call from the plant this afternoon, can you bring it back we’re not sure they filled it with th expect amount of oil....uh no I can’t as adding weight will cause me to blow my axle weights and your crane can’t pick it to move it on the trailer

Don’t mind me, I am just having a bad week or two or three

Tug Toy, Heavy Hammer, sawmill and 6 others Thank this.

Usually, it’s right before Christmas that some person will want something moved and they put good money on it...thing is every office personnel in every state has their head outside of their job, and won’t answer the phone and NOTHING gets done. Til after New Years. I’m in Texas right now.

Yeah I just read that, I can sleep easy knowing that I don't have to deal with machinery or heavy equipment loads very often. I do feel for you though @Rontonio. The load im scheduled for is one of 3 empty steel tanks, and they aren't going across country.

    cke Thanks this.
