Still working through the individual state restrictions

Oh and I need about $10k to do it

The $5k on the pivot bushing repair has slowed me slightly

I am pretty sure I am going to do it and I think it will get me the rest of the way to the 130k. I know daily is running at least 4 setups exactly the same but Daily is not necessarily the best role model

SAR, Oxbow and cke Thank this.

It will add about 2500 lbs but with a 10 1 spread from last drive axle to front Jeep axle(added lift axle) I think I will be able to get 13-14k on the steer and 38-40 on drives and 57-60 on the Jeep axles - some states will cut me back 38 / 57 or so A net gain of close 13-15k - giving me a little room to move a peice around on the deck to adjust axle weights.
So just about the weight I want, puts me back to being an 11 axle

Makes sense, how hard are the horizontal pins to get out of the rear of the deck/beam?

Surprisingly easy if you use an overhead crane - very much like a pin on axle. Just get the deck to the right height and they come out easy - but F n heavy

Took about 10 minutes to split the deck

With a wrecker probably going to be harder and of course that is what I will probably be using.

It is still worth it to not turn freight down

    sawmill Thanks this.

Ok, I've never been around the horizontal pins just vertical. I'm leaning toward a Trail King and it has the horizontal pins.

I like my trail king and it is a really well built trailer but it is heavier than most.

The thing you will likely hate is the air pin on the neck - they are stubborn if you don’t get the neck on perfectly straight. That is where a Fontaine has it right with their hooks versus saddles and just a manual safety pin versus the air pin.

    55 or 60 ton?

Mack427, sawmill, SAR and 1 other person Thank this.
