My permit lets me have a hundred K on 5 axles. I have a blanket permit that I renew every quarter and I can take anything wherever I want whenever I want as long as it's permit legal.

That blanket permit allows up to 100K on 5 axles , 120k on 6 axles, 115ft long. But all I have is 5 axles. This is an Illinois permit.

By the way, I think that the hundred K on 5 axles is slightly crazy. That was the reason why I blew up a tire. And I generally looked very heavy. The truck handled fine but I would be reluctant to run this much weight on the regular basis. The truck is Freightliner FLD.

Not trying to be a wet blanket, but you must not exceed the design rating of the truck. Unless specially ordered, the typical spec is 20k max per axle, and 40k per tandem. The permits will state Ratings cannot be exceeded.

Hi, I just re-read my IL blanket permit and it does not say such things.

First time this grandson rode in a big truck. Went and moved a mini excavator. He would have rather been playin a video game but I made him go. Guess that's the way it is for kids these days. I wouldn't want him trucking anyway...……….

Ehh, we ran 47,000 on 40,000 tears for years. I routinely run 50,000 on 46,000 rears.

We can get 125,000 on 5 axles (theoretically) but carry 115,000 no problem.

    One of my favorite sights.

Made it past the bear warning, Indian treaty and crazed caribou crossing signs to deliver. Freeport TX to Kirby Lake AB from Monday to Saturday- I am officially slightly tired.
And short necked I had about 65k on my tandem
