Are the requirements just axle spacing related? Or is it more to it?

Oxbow and Tug Toy Thank this.

Every 4 axle truck and every combination 7 axles or more must be inspected and certified

Yes it more than just axle spacing. My truck and trailer have a 10 axle inspection report but With the change to 11 axle I need a new one

I'm curious. Say you have something short and overweight on a + 48' length non Cali legal wheelbase trailer.
Can they deny you a permit if it could be hauled on a shorter cali legal wheelbase trailer?

Can't wait to see it. Don't think I've seen a Jeep with a lift axle before.

@Rontonio Has it changed? I never had to have my 7 axle combo inspected, but that has been over 10 years ago..

    cke and Oxbow Thank this.

As far as I have read, to get 7 axle weight for a Cali style 7 axle probably not. For a non Cali (read not a 3 axle tractor 2 axle Jeep 2 axle trailer) you need to have the 4 axle truck inspected.

sawmill, LoneCowboy, cke and 2 others Thank this.
