Big Loads - Post Photos Number 2

I had already pulled the straps before I remembered to take the picture. I just put 2 2” straps pulling to each side, it’s rides fine.

 

I couldn't figure out just what that thing was so I googled the brand and model. the first video on youtube and i realized it's an older shuttle buggy as they were unloading it in the video. :facepalm:

 

It’s a concrete placer, it’s a fair amount different than a asphalt shuttle buggy but similar idea.

 

Coming through Wisconsin on vacation I saw a couple of these in a rest area. I asked what the purpose for the trailer was He indeed said for the Abrams He also told me that the can load and unload at 50 mph. I bet that would leave a streak in your shorts on the first attempt

 

Not a bad tare weight at all to only be 77,000 lbs with 10 axles. In about 4 months when i get my new HH set up I am probably going to be a bit freaked out by the tare alone, forget gross.

 

Running rails is a specialized field and the guys doing it are amazing IMO. So let them tease you i bet its all in fun. A guy just an hour west of me does nothing but rail bed work, I don't even consider it for myself. We talk often, i pull only actually lowbed with a deck, some of mine are 9.5 feet wide and a 10 foot wide. He has 2 rails, i call him to get some loads I will not touch, i love heavy haul, but i know my limits, and some stuff i just ask the customer if they would like me to pass on their name and number to a guy I know. He calls me up with some loads as well. I admire the heck out of you rail guys, but i stay away. I would be that guy on the 6pm news...you know the moron stuck on the tiniest hump in the road, the D11 tracks high and dry on it or something like that. I can see it now as i have two heavy wreckers trying to winch me over it, and 800 people standing there cheering my stupidity and then a lot of questions about why, from dot and rcmp. I prefer to stay off the evening news.

16'W x 16'9"H x 120'L @~165,000lbs
Not real heavy, but needed a minimum 38'of well.
