Didn't think they would let you. Knew it was restricted but didn't know if it made any difference being that long. Only added a few miles I'm guessing. Lol

    Quick Question...
Do you gentlemen know what the weight rating would be generally speaking on the parts that project between the tires on an RGN trailer?

These guy were extremely cautious loading this scraper, seems they could have done it quicker but I can respect that than did it as they did.

They’re called a bolster (around here anyway) they’ll hold quite a bit that’s how I haul 627’s too. Problem I can see is a lot of that bolster is the rear bolster of the trailer and they’re usually not fully rated. Secondly I hope they can permit more than 80,000 back there because they’re over 80,000 loaded in that position.

Interesting little jeep they have there. I can't see it very well.

JD, it looks like had they moved it forward so the rear tires were on the next bolster forward, and been able to put the can down lower that the front may have lifted enough to clear the neck. Is that possible, or would they have had to block the front tires up?

I’m not sure on that trailer, it might work. On both of my trailers we have to pull the bail. We tried blocks but still wasn’t enough. B9D1557C-FECE-44BD-BA98-A9A316613CF8.jpeg

    Interesting.
My thought was... They should have loaded it the opposite way based on their trailer configuration. Operting weight on that unit is 90,xxx lb. (google / ritchiespecs) consequently I would think in California the spread between the tandems and the jeep would allow them more weight toward the front than the quad would in the rear. (I could be wrong that's why im hear attempting to learn.)

However its very surprising to hear that he would be over 80k on his quad with a 90k 627. 627's must be really rear end heavy.

    cke Thanks this.

They better not be taking that set up to California- it is not legal in About every possible way.

Loading it the other way doesn’t work on some trailers. I’m not sure about California as but I’m pretty sure they’re probably good for more on the front in that configuration but I don’t know, that’s not a common trailer in California from what I know.

As far as weight that G model in the first and third picture I posted is 77,000 on the quad setting on the second bolster like it is so I’ll guarantee it’s over 80,000 setting on the third bolster. My new trailer I’m 82,000.
