Yeah I’m aware of some of it, so like in Missouri will they only allow 12,000 on the steer? There a misconception that Ohio will only allow 12,000 on the steer on a permit. I had a guy argue up and down until I showed him my permit for 19,500 on the steer.

No they will allow 20k on a steer. Just not more than 132 gross. It makes no sense to me. If you are a 1-2-2-2 they will allow 140 or better. I would have to go look it up. They are real funky on that stuff.

It certainly is, which is why we need some sort of conformity with this.

    Sure

Let’s confirm to the Arizona standards....

There I bet you don’t “need” that kind of conformity.

SAR, cke and beastr123 Thank this.

Interesting, so 47 other states should conform to one oddball? Instead of 5 or 6 conforming to the rest?

cke, Oxbow, snowman_w900 and 1 other person Thank this.

Yeah we’ll conform to the worse one in the nation? That makes good sense.

cke, snowman_w900 and johndeere4020 Thank this.

You missed my point - there is no pressing NEED to standardize anything. The system is functional as it is - if you don’t confiorm to the state requirements - don’t come. There is plenty of compliant capacity available to complete the jobs.

    SAR and cke Thank this.

Why is it “worse”? Because you don’t have the equipment?

All the east coasters can run their quad axle trailers in states where they are legal - I don’t care.

They are not legal where My business is built to run and there is absolutely no need to change.

SAR, cke and beastr123 Thank this.

There’s a great need for standardization, how does it make sense to load a load like that 627 and be able to haul it from Maine all the way to Colorado but can’t go into a couple of stupid states? It creates unnecessary costs and burden for almost everyone.
